In 2009 I co-founded Luciterra Dance Society, which I co-directed until 2017 alongside Gillian Cofsky, Amber Eastman, and Naomi Gallagher.

With an emphasis on glamour and spectacle, Luciterra’s work emerged out of the counterculture electronic music cabaret of East Vancouver and the Pacific Northwest. Their signature high-energy shows used mechanical robotic movement with sweeping lyrical lines to render music visible; a vocabulary the Edmonton Journal described as “a new dialect of human movement.” The company performed and taught at events in Las Vegas, San Francisco, Portland, Toronto, and Seattle, were featured in the National Post, the Vancouver Sun, the Metro News, the Vancouver Courier, and multiple features with Shaw and CBC Television. Luciterra’s 2016 full length work (i·m)position was shown 17 times at 4 festivals, and received 5-star reviews from the Edmonton Journal and Global News.
